How to manage emails, using the 3+3 method! (copyright)
This web page is created to help us all manage our daily email workload. We’ve developed a structured way of dealing with the massive amounts of emails we receive on the job. The result is:
- Our Inbox is empty 3-4 times per day
- We always know the content of what’s been emailed to us
- We always receive answers from our colleagues on the requests that we email to them
- We save 15-30 minutes per day
- Dealing with emails is just more pleasant this way, the volume doesn’t seem so overwhelming
Reading the guide on these pages on how to do this takes 15 minutes. Implementing it in your email Inbox takes 15 minutes. From then on it’s just a matter of discipline.
Our experience is that this method works for most people, not all. We’ve held training courses on this method in the past, our experience is that 3 months later 70-80% still use the method and are very happy about it.
So, try it out. It’s free, and it will deliver what’s promised above. Choose in the menu on the left which email program you use. And when you’ve implemented the method and found it works for you, email a link to this web page to your friends and colleagues.

-John Bredahl, Dell Computer, 2005: “It works. I’ve now used the method for 3 years, and I’ll never go back”
-Marita Thomsen, Progrator, 2007: “This is a great method, saves me ½ hour per day”
